Nicole Malachowski, Air Force Pilot.Air Force Pilot

Meet Nicole. - She is a Major in the United States Air Force with over 2,100 flying hours. She is also the first female Thunderbird pilot. Right now, she just finished her program as a White House Fellow and plans to go back to the Air Force this fall.

Meet Carlos. - He is involved in the daily clinical care of animals in the Zoo’s collection at the National Zoo in Washington DC. He also leads the Veterinary Preceptorship Program (a training program for fourth-year vet students) and the International Veterinary Training Program.

Meet Kay. - She flew as Mission Specialist-2 on STS-90 Neurolab (1998) and logged over 381 hours in space. She was also part of the seven-member crew aboard Space Shuttle Columbia and completed 26 life science experiments.
